The widely known family restaurants Bota Šare, which began their hospitality adventure in the Dubrovnik area, in Mali Ston, have enriched the gastronomic offer of Dubrovnik with another truly unique restaurant. After restaurants and sushi bars in Mali Ston, Split, Zagreb, and Dubrovnik, another restaurant has been opened, distinguished by its decoration and interior. It is entirely furnished with natural discarded materials, making it Croatia's first restaurant whose interior is made using the upcycling technique.

The new Bota Šare restaurant is located at the northern entrance to the City, entrance Buža, at Peline Street 4, in a space that used to be an old bakery. Now it is a place where high ecological awareness meets the family gastronomic story of southern Croatia. The main indoor space, as well as the cascading terrace, have 30 seats each, making it an excellent choice for smaller groups eager for a unique and authentic culinary experience in Dubrovnik.

The new Dubrovnik Bota Šare is in complete harmony with nature and sustainable business

The decoration of the restaurant is credited to the Dubrovnik conceptual artist Igor Hajdarhodžić, who has made the new Bota Šare restaurant a place of rich history, where every detail tells its own story. Some of the items found in it are very valuable. These are antiques and historical memorabilia, while the rest are used items that are unusual to find in such a space. Discarded details have been given a new role.

For example, an object found in the trash that speaks of the fall of the Dubrovnik Republic, crafted by a young sailor on his chest. "It was in museums for about 20 years, and now it's here to be seen and to tell visitors and citizens a piece of Dubrovnik's history," said artist Igor Hajdarhodžić.

Another attraction in that space is a table made from two worn-out steps dating back to the time of the Republic and two different balustrades. They make up a dignified stone table that complements all the food elements present here. The counters, on the other hand, are made from ship gangways, and the space is lit by old fishing lanterns. These discarded items become part of a special atmosphere that visitors immediately feel.

There is also a separate space called Pescatore - a fisherman that can accommodate up to six people. In it, one can see freshly caught Adriatic bluefin tuna. Today, it attracts a lot of attention from passersby. Here, Bota offers a special experience with its own chef who will make sushi in front of the guests.

The space is dominated by strong stone elements, blue marble that goes along with the poetry of the fish market. Also eye-catching is the collection of bulletins and one of the fishing tools, which actually symbolizes everything that happens in the activity of the Šare family.

New concept - healthy breakfast, daily snacks according to old local recipes

Everyone who comes to this space expects locally produced ingredients. The new Bota also offers a new concept. Working hours are from 8 am to midnight. A healthy breakfast is now a morning imperative, and daily snacks will especially delight Dubrovnik residents who will have a true Dubrovnik southern meal every day of the year according to the recipes of our grandmothers.

All the ingredients used in the kitchen are either from their own cultivation or from nearby family farms. The quality of the same, as well as all delicacies, is imperative for Bota, which Croatia has already recognized. The fish is also partially from their own catch or is collected by the chefs early in the morning at the fish market - peškarija.

The combination of ecological awareness with the gastronomic world is a new educational story offered by Dubrovnik and the South of Croatia, both to local residents and tourists, as well as to business guests.
