Dubrovnik in the Spotlight at the World Travel Market in London – Reuters Coverage
Miro Drašković, Director of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, gave an interview to the global news agency Reuters during World Travel Market (WTM) London, which is taking place in the British capital from 3 to 5 November.
At this year’s trade fair, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board is participating as a co-exhibitor at the Croatian National Tourist Board stand, promoting Dubrovnik at one of the most important international gatherings of the tourism industry.
The interview with Reuters focused on the development and future of Dubrovnik as an internationally renowned tourist destination, the challenges facing modern tourism, and responses to increasingly demanding global circumstances. Discussions also addressed the sustainable management of tourism growth and the recognition received by the “Respect the City” initiative, which aims to preserve natural and cultural heritage, ensure a more balanced distribution of tourist arrivals, and guide the destination’s future development.
Another key topic was Dubrovnik’s Sustainable Tourism Development Strategy through 2030, as well as the growing role of artificial intelligence, digitalisation and new technologies in shaping the visitor experience, from travel planning and bookings to destination management.
The Reuters interview represents a particularly valuable opportunity to present Dubrovnik to an international audience and contribute to the global conversation on the future of tourism.
Founded in 1851, Reuters is one of the world’s leading news agencies, with approximately 2,600 journalists in 165 countries, reporting in 12 languages. Its news reaches more than one billion people worldwide every day, while its content is carried by leading international media outlets and news organisations.
