Concert: Živa voda
As part of the AJMO project, we invite you at Club Lazareti on Saturday, January 30., at 9 PM.Live music: Živa Voda sings Dubrovački TrubaduriJust before the Feast of Saint Blaise, Živa Voda—a collective of some of the finest Croatian musicians from the younger generation—will present their own unique interpretation of the Dubrovački Trubaduri!
Since its inception in 2017, the collective Živa Voda has operated beyond the confines of standard musical forms, reinterpreting the works of both domestic and international artists in their own distinctive, original way. Founded by composer and musician Mak Murtić, producer and sound designer Vedran Peternel, and singer-songwriter Maja Rivić, the collective has since performed over a hundred times, appearing in various configurations and with diverse programs. As a collaborative concept bringing together musicians from the Zagreb scene, the group adapts to each new project. They frequently collaborate with prominent artists—such as Darko Rundek, Damir Urban, Damir Imamović, Kruno Levečić, and many others—who are eager to embark on creative adventures within a specific, defined context. Živa Voda champions an approach where improvisation serves as the foundation of the creative process, rather than merely a stylistic embellishment. Their collective authorship fosters a different relationship with performance: hierarchy gives way to active listening, spontaneous reaction, and real-time co-creation.
The concert is organized by Art radionica Lazareti in collaboration with the Audiovisual Centre Dubrovnik and the Art Factory Podroom (TUP). This music program is presented through the “AJMO!” initiative by We Move Music Croatia, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
“AJMO!” is a project designed to foster consistent concert activity throughout the Republic of Croatia, with a particular focus on areas where contemporary music genres may lack commercial viability but hold significant cultural value. The “AJMO!” project is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and We Move Music Croatia.
