The Other Side of History: Dubrovnik & Varaždin

The Other Side of History: Dubrovnik & Varaždin
Marija Lešaja, soprano Sebastijan Sarapa, clarinet Ivana Jelača, piano and artistic direction Tracing the paths of musicians through the past, the musical program of this year’s edition—a project that bridges the countryside cultural lifestyle of northern and southern Croatia—presents a diverse repertoire characteristic of the salon gatherings. It includes works for solo piano, clarinet with piano accompaniment, solo vocal pieces, and trio arrangements—performed in both original versions and adaptations, using combinations of period and modern instruments. The performance at the Villa Bunić-Kaboga —featuring music from the late 18th and early 19th centuries, set against the backdrop of an exhibition from the Nikšić Collection—will offer the audience a glimpse into the intimate atmosphere of aristocratic and bourgeois social gatherings. Admission to the concert at the Villa Bunić-Kaboga is free. Organised transport departs from Pile at 7:30 PM, with an additional stop at the Tommy store on Vukovarska Street. The return trip from the summer residence is scheduled for 9:45 PM, following the concert.
