DUBROVNIK AMONG THE BEST AGAIN

In the regional edition of 'KONGRES Magazine' choice among 71 cities from Central and Southeast Europe, in different categories, Dubrovnik came first, as the best convention destination being able to host up to a thousand participants.

The Meeting Star Award is a regional award for outstanding achievement in Central and Southeast Europe convention tourism. It is awarded by the international specialist magazine KONGRES for the following categories: destination marketing communication, conventions, events and convention service providers. The award is a sign of recognition for individuals and businesses standing out by their creativity and expertise, but also by measureable achievements in the convention industry domain.

Once again, this year, the editorial staff of KONGRES Magazine has prepared an overview of the best convention destinations in the region which were graded within the KONGRES METODOLOGUE framework. Destinations were rated according to the following criteria: natural and cultural factors, safety, general and traffic infrastructure, tourist infrastructure and convention infrastructure, ICCA index, quality of life etc. According to the results of a secret vote, Dubrovnik got the overall grade of 4.27 (out of 5) and is at the top of the list, just before Villach and Klagenfurt, both in Austria.

Dubrovnik has yet again proved that it is a successful world-class tourist destination, having been ranked at the very top among the convention destinations in Europe and voted best in the region.
