Saturday Winter Mornings in Dubrovnik
Discover the City Through Themed Guided Tours and Local Traditions
The Dubrovnik Tourist Board is once again organizing “Saturday Winter Mornings”, a special winter programme offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience Dubrovnik through free themed guided tours and traditional folklore performances. The programme aims to enrich the city's winter tourism offer, introduce visitors to Dubrovnik's rich cultural and historical heritage, and preserve and promote local traditions and customs.
Led by professional local guides, the themed walking tours invite visitors to discover fascinating stories and lesser-known aspects of Dubrovnik's past. This year's programme covers a variety of topics, including religious tolerance and coexistence, traditional Dubrovnik Christmas carols, historic love stories, the centuries-old Festivity of St. Blaise, the importance of water in the development of Renaissance Dubrovnik, and the city's historic gardens.
The themed guided tours take place every Saturday, departing from the Pile Tourist Information Centre (TIC). The English-language tour starts at 9:30 AM, while the Croatian-language tour begins at 12:30 PM. During the first six Saturdays, the featured themed tour will be “Cosmopolitan Dubrovnik”, exploring the city's rich history of different religious communities and its centuries-old tradition of coexistence.
At 11:30 AM, in front of St. Blaise's Church, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board will treat visitors to a traditional folklore performance. In case of bad weather, the performance will not take place.
