Heritage Hotel Lucia – A New Boutique Event Venue Close to Dubrovnik’s Historic Centre

Dubrovnik has gained a new address that could attract event organisers looking for different formats for gatherings, Heritage Hotel Lucia, a newly opened boutique hotel located immediately next to the city’s historic centre. Just a few minutes’ walk from Dubrovnik’s most important landmarks, it combines heritage, contemporary design, gastronomy and personalised hospitality, creating an atmosphere particularly suited to more intimate and exclusive events.

The hotel building was originally constructed in 1980 as an administrative archive and, through a careful transformation, has been given a new purpose as a boutique heritage hotel. During the renovation process, its distinctive architectural proportions and abundance of natural light were retained, while the contemporary interior reinterprets Dubrovnik elegance through clean design, natural materials and an emphasis on comfort.

The hotel operates throughout the year, opening up additional opportunities for organisers choosing Dubrovnik for events outside the main tourist season. Alongside various categories of rooms and suites, guests have access to a 24-hour reception and concierge service, transfer and reservation arrangements, as well as individually designed experiences in Dubrovnik and the surrounding area.

Osteria Dante – Gastronomy as Part of the Event Experience

A special place within the concept of Heritage Hotel Lucia is occupied by Osteria Dante, a contemporary Osteria that combines the spirit of an Italian Osteria with the gastronomic heritage of Dubrovnik and the Adriatic. The restaurant can accommodate up to 80 seated guests indoors, with an additional 60 seats on the outdoor terrace, allowing for a variety of event formats.

The cuisine takes its inspiration from its surroundings, the sea, garden and fields. Fresh Adriatic fish and seafood, seasonal vegetables, quality meats and ingredients characteristic of Dalmatian cuisine form the basis of the menu, while local tradition meets Mediterranean and Italian influences.

Of particular interest to event organisers are dishes prepared in the traditional bread oven. Whole fish, octopus, veal and lamb are prepared as dishes intended for sharing at the table, alongside brodetto, fish and carefully selected cuts of meat. This approach naturally encourages socialising and conversation, transforming gastronomy into an important part of the overall event experience.

The offering is complemented by a wine list featuring Croatian and regional labels, as well as a selection of international wines, allowing wine pairings to be created in harmony with the menu and character of each event.

A Flexible Format for Business, Incentive and Private Events

Heritage Hotel Lucia and Osteria Dante are aimed at organisers looking for a smaller, more private and personalised event format, in which the venue, gastronomy and atmosphere work together as a whole.

The spaces can be adapted to different occasions and numbers of guests, from private dinners and intimate celebrations to business gatherings, formal receptions, incentive programmes and special events. Organisers also have the support of the hotel team in designing the space, gastronomic concept and overall experience.

A particular advantage is the possibility of connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces. An event can therefore begin with a welcome drink or cocktail on the terrace, continue with dinner in the restaurant and conclude with a musical, performance or other accompanying programme. For certain events, complete private hire of the property is also available, while technical equipment can be provided according to the requirements of the specific format.

The gastronomic concept is equally flexible, from individually created menus and multi-course dinners to cocktails, Mediterranean finger food and carefully selected wines to accompany the dishes.

The Hotel Opening as an Example of the Event Concept

The potential of the venue was best demonstrated by the official opening of Heritage Hotel Lucia, held on June 28, 2026. The evening was conceived as a complete experience combining the hotel space, gastronomy and music.

The programme began with a welcome drink and the chef’s amuse-bouche on the terrace. Guests then continued the evening inside the restaurant, where a specially created three-course gala dinner was served, before the evening concluded with a concert. It is precisely this type of concept that demonstrates how Heritage Hotel Lucia can be more than simply a place to stay, it can become a venue where a business meeting, incentive experience or private celebration is transformed into a complete event.

For organisers seeking a more exclusive format close to Dubrovnik’s historic centre, combining privacy, quality gastronomy and opportunities for personalisation, Heritage Hotel Lucia represents a new address on Dubrovnik’s event scene.
