Free guided tour of the romantic side of Dubrovnik
In addition to traditional gastronomic days, this Valentine's Day the Dubrovnik Tourist Board is organizing a free thematic tour of the city by Lidija Begić, "Traces of love from antiquity" which will be held on 12, 13 and 14 February, in Croatian at 9.30 and in English at midday. Dubrovnik is full of love stories, whether they are legends or real people who walked these stone streets. This tour follows the streets of the City in their footsteps and talks about real people, grounded historical facts and relies on a bit of historical love whispers. Join us for a walk and discover the reasons for unhappy love stories recorded in Dubrovnik legends, Renaissance enchantments with Cvijeta Zuzorić, love adventures in Držić's works, forbidden love of the Dubrovnik patrician class and remember the magic of first kisses under the red lantern Porporela. Music and love go hand in hand
The grand finale of the Valentine's Day celebration in Dubrovnik will be marked by a concert organized by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board "Valentine's Day Gift" and performed by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra at the Marin Držić Theater on February 14 at 8:00 p.m. The performance of the DSO Pop's Ensemble with maestro Marco Tardue and the famous trumpet player Džemal Cakić will perform Latin, pop and popular film music. The audience will enjoy the themes of movies like Titanic, Star Wars, Game of Thrones and the like. Admission is free, and COVID confirmation is required to participate in the concert.
