An international scientific conference - the Global Advances in Management and Entrepreneurship (GAME) Conference - will take place in Dubrovnik from 14 to 16 May 2026, bringing together researchers, academics and professionals from around the world to discuss contemporary trends and challenges in management and entrepreneurship.
The conference will be held at Akademis Academia, a modern venue designed for academic, scientific and business events. It provides an inspiring environment for international gatherings, combining contemporary conference facilities with the unique atmosphere of the city.
Participants from universities, research institutions and industry will present their latest research and exchange ideas through keynote lectures, paper presentations and discussions focused on entrepreneurship, management, economics, business innovation and emerging technologies. Entrepreneurship in the Service of Sustainable Tourism on Croatian Islands
A highlight of the conference will be the keynote lecture delivered by Hrvoje Grofelnik, PhD, from the University of Rijeka – Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management (Croatia, Opatija).
His keynote, titled “From Natural Resource to Entrepreneurial Value – Entrepreneurship in the Service of Sustainable Tourism on Croatian Islands” will explore how natural resources of Croatian islands can be transformed into sustainable entrepreneurial value. Drawing on real-life case studies from the islands of Cres and Lošinj, the lecture will highlight how family-run businesses successfully integrate environmental responsibility, traditional knowledge and innovation to create high-quality tourism products and authentic visitor experiences.
The keynote will address several important topics, including sustainable and responsible tourism models, the relationship between ecotourism, sustainability and entrepreneurship, the implementation of ESG principles in small island economies and the role of entrepreneurship in strengthening resilient local communities.
The conference will also provide opportunities for networking, collaboration and the development of new international partnerships among researchers, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
